CMW Media is a fast-growing, full-service Public Relations firm specializing in innovative businesses in a wide range of industries including publicly traded companies and biotechnology. CMW Media is looking for the perfect fit to help build on our continued track record of success in pharmaceutical/biotech public relations.

The ideal person would have a passion for business communications and a high level of interest or experience in pharmaceutical/biotechnology companies. This person should want to grow quickly with an organization and have the desire to be running a team of 5+ within the next year. The ideal candidate should love closing deals and developing small to mid-level organizations. This person should never shy away from a challenge and always strive to please the client and grow the agency’s footprint and offering.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Write and/or edit copy for press releases for multiple clients, working with clients to obtain the necessary information
  • Pitching the news media and execution of successful PR campaigns, ability to drive campaigns with minimal direction; securing placement
  • Edit or draft frameworks for financial press releases and other related documentation
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets for tracking analyst consensus information for client companies
  • Coordinate other IR-related meetings and conferences;
  • Begin to develop relationships with associate analysts and other investment professionals
  • Develop and maintain robust understanding of business drivers and metrics; identify/track key themes and topics for investor discussion to inform our team and executives on emerging trends
  • Develop and assist in the creation of messages and materials for the investment community, including press releases, conference call scripts, Q&A prep, and road show presentations
  • Maintaining all client data in company system including press release boiler plates, contact info and press kits
  • Work with management to develop communication strategies for client companies’ financial results, operations and business strategy to current and prospective shareholders
  • Play a key role in client’s investor relations programs to achieve the company’s corporate and strategic goals within the investor community
  • Draft press releases, quarterly results releases, scripts, IR presentation decks and Board discussion materials
  • Participate in the delivery of corporate communication while developing and maintaining strong relationships within the investment community
  • Drafting press release copy that informs shareholders of publicly traded companies
  • Drafting highly technical copy, including financial and pharma copy, researching competitors
  • Working on campaign tracking and reporting
  • Continual help with executive media trainings, including drafting of Talking Points for clients
  • Research the technical properties of clients’ products
  • Revise, edit and proofread content as needed or directed
  • Respond to feedback in a timely manner
  • Work within tight deadlines, and hit them every time
  • Check copy for spelling and grammar errors
  • Work on thorough press kit materials
  • Research competitors and keep abreast of market trends

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in bioscience, communications or finance.
  • Interest in publicly traded companies, stocks, finance, investments
  • 2-5 years of press and/or investor relations
  • Experience in professional press release and content writing
  • Flexibility to embrace change in a rapidly growing organization
  • Driven toward continual improvement
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Experience in dealing with investors a plus
  • Exposure to the private equity industry a plus
  • Team player, comfortable working in a collaborative environment
  • Proficiency in Google Drive and Google aps tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office programs
